Lee County Board of County Commissioners approved Ordinance 03-14 relating to lobbying activities and lobbyist reporting in Lee County.

County Commissioners and County Employees (as specified in Ordinance 03-14, Section Two (E)) must maintain a written log to document oral lobbying communication or private meetings with lobbyists. County Commissioners and employees should deliver their logs to Clerk of Court Minutes Office at the end of each quarter or upon conclusion of their employment with Lee County.

Paid Lobbyists shall provide annual registration to the Clerk of Court Minutes Office on an annual basis prior to their first occasion of engaging in lobbyist activity (as specified in Ordinance 03-14 Section Four). They must also submit a quarterly signed statement listing their lobbying activities (as specified in Ordinance 03-14 Section Seven). If mailing, all forms must be notarized. If submitting in person, the forms do not need to be notarized, but the lobbyist must sign the form in the presence of a Deputy Clerk.
