The Lee County Official Records are open to the public and anyone may obtain copies. Most documents can be printed from your personal computer or device by going to our Official Records Search Page.
Options For Certified Copies of Official Records:
- Visit our office at 2115 2nd Street, 2nd floor, Fort Myers, Florida 33901.
- Request it by mail by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to PO Box 2278, Fort Myers, with as much identifying information regarding the document or parties, as possible.
- Request them online through www.myfloridacounty.com (Please Note: when requesting copies through this website service fees apply when you use your credit card.)
Certified Copies are $1.00 per page and add an additional $2.00 per document for certifications fees.
Any person has a right to request that a county recorder remove from a publicly available Internet website information made exempt from inspection or copying under s. 119.071, F.S. or an image or copy of a public record, including an official record, from a publicly available Internet website if that image or copy is of a military discharge; death certificate; or a court file, record, or paper relating to matters or cases governed by the Florida Rules of Family Law, the Florida Rules of Juvenile Procedure, or the Florida Probate Rules. The notice must state that information described in s. 28.222(2), F.S., grantor, grantee and party names, otherwise exempt under s. 119.071, will not be removed from the Official Record or the index.
Any person has a right to request that a county recorder or clerk of the court add information to a publicly available Internet website if that information involves the identity of a respondent against whom a final judgment for an injunction for the protection of a minor under s. 741.30, s. 784.046, or s. 784.0485, F.S., is entered, unless the respondent is a minor.
