The following are Official Records document types restricted by Chapter 28.2221(5)(a), Florida Statutes that are not available online for general public access:
- Military Discharges
- Death Certificates
- Court Records relating to cases governed by:
- Florida Rules of Family Law
- Florida Rules of Juvenile Procedure
- Florida Probate Rules
These Official Records are available for the public to view:
- On a public kiosk located in the Official Records Office at 2115 Second Street, 2nd Floor, Fort Myers.

How to Register
The Lee County Clerk presents information on our website as a service to the public. We try to ensure that the information contained in this electronic search system is accurate. We make no warranty or guarantee concerning the accuracy or reliability of the content on this site or at other sites to which we link. Assessing accuracy and reliability of information is the responsibility of the user. To maximize results, the user is advised to search all possible spelling variations of proper names. The Clerk provides immediate access to scanned images of records that are presented for recording into the Official Records. These initial or provisional records have not yet been reviewed or verified for indexing accuracy. In the search results, provisional records are indicated with an “R” or “I” whereas verified documents are indicated with a “V.” Provisional records may be deleted, modified, or changed without notice and indexing may be changed, modified, deleted and/or added upon verification of the record. The Clerk is not responsible for errors, omissions, misspellings, incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate indexing of records, whether they are a provisional record or the verified record. Customers use this service and record information at their own risk.
