Florida Retirement System* The Florida Retirement System (FRS) offers you two retirement plans, the Investment Plan and the Pension Plan. As an FRS member, you get to choose the one that’s right for you.
Medical Insurance

Two comprehensive medical plans are available to full-time employees, their spouses, and their dependents. They include but are not limited to routine, preventive, mental health, hospitalization, and prescription drug benefits.
Employee Only - $15.00 per month                                   Employee & Spouse - $145.00 per month
Employee & Dependents - $115.00 per month           Employee & Family - $160.00 per month
26 - 30 Year old Dependent - $780.00 per month (in addition to the employee's monthly premiums)

Dental Insurance

Our dental plan offers five types of services: preventive, basic, major, implants, and orthodontic. 
Employee Only - $5.00 per month                                     Employee & Family - $40.00 per month      

Vision Insurance

We offer two optional vision insurance plans designed to suit your individual needs.

Employee Assistance Program*

All employees are provided with free consultation, therapy, and support services, some available 24/7.

Life/AD & D Insurance

Free life insurance is offered in an amount equal to the annual salary rounded to the next highest thousand dollars. It includes provisions for accidental death and dismemberment.

Optional Life Insurance

You have the option to purchase additional life insurance for you, your spouse, and your children.

Long -Term Disability Insurance

If you are disabled for 90 consecutive days, you could be paid up to 60 percent of your salary. This benefit is also provided at no cost to you.

Optional Short-Term Disability Insurance

Optional short-term disability insurance pays you a portion of your salary if you miss time at work because of a disabling injury or illness.

Direct Deposit*           

All employees’ payroll checks are direct deposited into the bank of your choice. You wake up on payday and your money is waiting there for you!

Deferred Compensation

Deferred compensation is a supplemental retirement savings program that offers you the opportunity to invest money toward the retirement you envision.

Flexible Spending Accounts

FSAs are accounts you set up to pre-fund your anticipated medical expenses and dependent care expenses on a tax-free basis.

Suncoast Credit Union*

Credit union membership offers serious savings and better deals across the board – on everything from auto loans to credit cards and mortgages.

Aflac*           

When health changes for you or a loved one, it can change everything. Aflac’s optional supplemental insurance can help make sure you can keep living the life you love.

Wellness Program  Earn up to $50/Individual, or up to $100/Family for completing an online Health Assessment, completing preventative screenings.
The Clerk’s office also partners with local providers in order to offer educational Lunch & Learn opportunities.
Vacation Time

Annual vacation time is earned and prorated in biweekly increments under the following schedule:
Less than two (2) years of service:            Ten (10) days (80 hours)
After two (2) years of service:                     Twelve (12) days (96 hours)
After five (5) years of service:                      Fifteen (15) days (120 hours)
After ten (10) years of service:                   Twenty (20) days (160 hours)

Personal/Sick Leave All regular full-time employees are provided personal/sick leave, earned biweekly in four (4) hour increments. 
Volunteer Leave* All full-time and part-time employees scheduled to work at least 25 hours per week are eligible for volunteer leave. Volunteering can be a life-changing experience, and it’s a great opportunity for you to give back to the community. 
Birthday Leave*  All full-time employees scheduled to work at least 25 hours per week are eligible for birthday leave. 
Holidays* All full-time employees and part-time employees scheduled to work at least 25 hours per week are eligible for 11 paid holidays per year. 
Parking* Parking is free to all Clerk of Court employees.
