The Clerk's Role
County Record Services fulfills the requirements for the Ex Officio Clerk to the Board and is responsible for maintaining the permanent records of all documents presented to the Board of County Commissioners, Port Authority, Special Districts, and Value Adjustment Board during their meetings.
County Record Services, also referred to as 'Minutes', records and prepares minutes, collects supporting documents for meetings, and maintains all records as a permanent record and public access. This responsibility encompasses meetings held by the Board of County Commissioners, Port Authority, Lee County Leasing Corporation, and the Airports Special Management Committee meetings (available through May 2007).
The Clerk, through this office, is the custodian of all original contracts, agreements, resolutions and ordinances approved and adopted by the County/Port Authority Commissioners and the Lee County Leasing Corporation.
