Lee County Clerk and Comptroller Kevin Karnes is proud to announce the office’s third annual Financial Wellness Summit is returning to Lee County.
The event will take place Thursday, April 9 from 9 a.m.-noon at Florida SouthWestern State College in Building U, Room 102. The college is located at 8099 College Parkway in Fort Myers.
At the Financial Wellness Summit, community members will get expert tips to help improve overall financial wellness while learning how Lee County tax dollars are managed, spent and invested. Participants will have the opportunity to attend different, back-to-back sessions and hear from a variety of experts who will present engaging financial information. The session topics include:
- Generational wealth: Building a legacy that lasts
- Estate planning essentials: Protecting your life, legacy, and loved ones
- Retirement ready? Five questions to help you prepare for your longest vacation
- A local & national economic market update
As Lee County’s Comptroller, Clerk Karnes will share insights on county investments, the state of county finances, and the Sand Dollar Snapshot - a newly launched, interactive website that’s designed to help community members better understand how county funds are managed and spent. Through the Comptroller function of his role, Clerk Karnes is responsible for managing and investing more than $2 billion of Lee County’s tax dollars annually.
