Post Date:07/10/2025 3:49 PM

For the fifth year in a row, the Lee County Clerk & Comptroller was honored with 10 awards of excellence by the Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers (FCCC) association for its commitment to demonstrating high professional standards.

The Clerk’s office was presented with an award of excellence in all of the state association’s Best Practices Excellence Program categories.

The FCCC’s Best Practices Excellence Program evaluated and recognized Clerks and Comptrollers across the state in the following areas: capital asset management, compliance services (collections), eviction, evidence storage and destruction, exploitation of vulnerable adult injunction, GAAP financial reporting, grants administration, marriage license, post-issuance policies and procedures, and wireless communication device citation.

“To be recognized by the FCCC for five years in a row truly speaks to our office’s commitment and dedication to serving our community,” said Clerk Kevin Karnes. “These awards speak to the hard work our team puts forth every day to make the Lee County Clerk & Comptroller’s office the premier model of exceptional government, and I can’t thank them enough for all that they do.”

The FCCC is a statewide, nonprofit organization comprised of Florida’s Clerks of the Circuit Court and Comptrollers. The FCCC’s Best Practices Excellence Program was established in 2020, and since that time, the Lee County Clerk’s Office has received awards in all categories offered each year.
