I couldn’t be more excited to bring this amazing event back to Lee County.
Tomorrow, we will host our second annual Financial Wellness Summit – a free event for the community to get expert tips to help improve overall financial wellness while learning how Lee County tax dollars are managed, spent and invested.
The event will take place tomorrow, April 10 from 9 a.m.-noon at Florida SouthWestern State College in Building U, Room 102. The college is located at 8099 College Parkway in Fort Myers.
At the Financial Wellness Summit, participants will have the opportunity to attend different, back-to-back sessions and hear from a variety of experts who will present engaging financial information. The session topics include:
- Smarter spending: 5 tips for mastering your budget
- How to save with property exemptions
- A local & national economic market update
The summit will also have an expo where attendees can visit different vendor booths featuring key financial information. As Lee County’s Comptroller, I will speak about Lee County investments and the state of county finances. Serving as the Comptroller means I am Lee County’s Chief Financial Officer, and my goal is to ensure we are informing citizens on how their tax dollars are being utilized.
I want to encourage anyone who is able to come out and take part in this event. We received such overwhelmingly positive feedback from our attendees at last year’s summit, with one participant stating the Financial Wellness Summit is ‘a must attend for all Lee County residents!’
Light refreshments will be provided. Space is limited and registration is required. Participants can register at www.leeclerk.org/events.
I hope to see you there!
