Clerk Doggett earns Clerk of the Year Award
Lee County Clerk Linda Doggett was awarded the Clerk of the Year award by Florida Court Clerks and Comptrollers, the statewide governing body of the state’s 68 elected Clerks and Comptrollers. The prestigious award was announced at the association’s summer conference banquet last week in ChampionsGate, Fla.
Doggett received the award for her efforts to lead the development and maintenance of the association’s technology strategic plan. She represents Clerks on the Florida Supreme Court’s Access to Justice Commission and led efforts to provide new do-it-yourself systems to Floridians seeking court services.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by my colleagues for my efforts to enhance access to justice,” Clerk Doggett said. “However, the true honor is being able to make a positive difference in the lives of the citizens of Lee County and the whole State of Florida.”
Doggett’s extensive education and experience in information systems and technology provides her a unique perspective of the future of our justice system. Since being first elected in 2012, she has elevated the Lee Clerk’s office through her commitment to adopting new technologies designed to improve efficiencies and provide greater transparency and accessibility to citizens.
Doggett currently serves on the following state committees and boards:
Commission Member, Florida Commission on Access to Civil Justice
Board of Directors, Florida Court Clerks and Comptrollers
Strategic Technology Committee, Florida Court Clerks and Comptrollers
Performance Improvement & Efficiency Committee, Florida Clerks of Court Operations Corporation
Pro Se' Committee, Florida Court Clerks and Comptrollers
