| Florida Retirement System | All contributions on the employee’s behalf are 100% paid by the Clerk of Courts. The employee has a choice of a traditional pension or an investment plan. |
| Medical Insurance | The Clerk offers two plan choices for all full-time employees, their spouse and their dependents. Coverage begins the first day of the month following 30 days of full time employment. |
| Dental Insurance | The Clerk offers a dental plan for full time employees, their spouse and children. |
| Vision Insurance | There are presently two plans. The first is located within your medical plan and requires no additional payment to participate.The second is optional and paid entirely by the employee. |
| Employee Assistance Program | The Clerk provides this benefit at no cost to the employee. This is the availability of licensed professional counselors for personal issues with 100% confidentiality. |
| Flexible Spending Account(s) | There are two types of reimbursement accounts: Medical and Dependent Care. It is optional and allows the employee to have pre tax dollars deducted from their paycheck for reimbursement of medical costs not covered by your plans or child care costs for children under 13. |
| Life /AD & D Insurance | The Clerk provides this benefit at no cost to the employee. Employees are insured at an amount equal to the annual salary rounded to the next higher thousand dollars. The AD&D insurance provides additional coverage in the event the employee should lose their limb(s), eyesight or die. |
| Optional Life Insurance | The Clerk provides the employee with an option to purchase additional life insurance coverage for him/herself, their spouse and their child(ren). |
| Long Term Disability | The Clerk provides this benefit at no cost to the employee. Benefits are paid up to 60% of the employee’s salary after being disabled for 90 consecutive days. |
| Direct Deposit | The employee’s payroll check is directly deposited into the bank of their choice. |
| Other Programs | Deferred Compensation, US Savings Bonds and membership in the Sun Coast Federal Schools Credit Union are also available. |
