The Cape Recording Office will close June 26^th, 2009.
The Cape Recording Office will no longer provide recording services at the Lee County Government Complex at 1039 SE 9^th Place, 2^nd Floor, Cape Coral which includes: document recording, certified copies, marriage license, marriage ceremonies, and passport applications.
Budget constraints along with reduced recording activity forced this decision.
The Fort Myers Recording Office will continue to process document recordings, certified copies, records searches, marriage license applications, marriage ceremonies, and passport applications.
The Fort Myers Recording office is located on the 2^nd Floor of the Lee County Administration Building, 2115 Second Street. Our office hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. through 5 pm.

Please note:

The Cape Civil Office will close June 30^th, 2009.
As a result of the reduction in the Clerk's budget and the low demand for services, the Clerk has decided that we will no longer be providing Civil and Probate services at the Cape Coral office. A Court Clerk will go to Cape Coral to attend monthly Small Claims Pre-Trials.
After June 30, 2009, please come to the Fort Myers Civil office located on the 2^nd Floor of the Lee County Justice Center, 1700 Monroe Street.

We now have two Cape Coral branch offices. Please check to see which location offers the services you need. Our Cape Coral branch office is located in the Lee County Government Center at 1039 SE 9th Pl. Hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm. View map

1st Floor: Civil, Probate, and Traffic Fine services
2nd Floor: Recording, Marriage License, and Passport services

Recording documents, copies of documents, obtaining a marriage license, marriage ceremony, applying for a passport

Filing circuit civil, county civil and small claims cases and their related pleadings
All matters relating to civil cases assigned to Cape Coral

Probate:

Filing estate and guardianship cases only

Traffic Fines :

Payment of non-criminal traffic fines, including affidavit for traffic school
