Effective July 1, 2009, the Lee County Clerk’s office will begin
charging for online access to our Court Records and certain documents in our
Official Records*. By completing the new online agreement and submitting payment,
you are agreeing to begin or continue your subscription(s).
Note: Government agents and agencies are exempt from these charges.
***The new fee is per attorney and not intended
to be shared by multiple attorneys. While we cannot control who you give your
user-id and password to, we will be actively monitoring access to insure this
policy is not being abused. If we find evidence of abuse, the account will be
deactivated until the issue is satisfied.
Subscription charges for each of these two services are both
Court Records Online and Official Records Online:
$105 Quarterly subscription for each service
$300 Annual subscription for each service.
This change is necessitated by the downturn in the
economy and current legislative actions that have significantly reduced our
funding. All revenue from these charges will be used to support the Clerk’s
technology infrastructure, including licensing, hardware, software, and internet
access costs.
*Documents governed by Florida Rules of Family Law,
Juvenile Procedure, or Probate recorded in the Official Records.
